The Coach. Playing in the Dark
Language: Russian / English,
Athor: Olga Abramchik
Oleg Kirillov is a coach of an unusual team - the intuitive football team. It's hard to believe it, but his players are members of the Belarussian national mini-football team for the blind. Each of them ended up on the field for a different reason, but today they have a shared goal - to retain their champions’ status in the national competition.
Kirillov himself has some family members with disabilities and knows well how to communicate with his players. He is not just a coach, but also a friend to each of the athletes.
Sound design is an important element of the film. The film completely recreates the acoustic environment natural for the players. In this acoustic environment, they orientate hearing the sounds of the ball and clear instructions given by the coach.
